Respect for less-friendly dogs

I'm not feeling friendly!

I’m not feeling friendly!

Aletha shared this bit of wisdom:  Whether we like it or not, people with unfriendly dogs have a legal right to walk their dogs in public. And if we allow our dogs to approach their dogs on leash, complaints could provoke ALL of Homme/Adams to become on-leash only.

One movement is using yellow ribbons on dogs’ collars to identify those that should not be approached.  You can read about it in this USA Today article.  But we can always assume in Homme/Adams that if a dog is on leash, it’s because it’s not friendly to other dogs, and should be given some space.

So rather than simply call out that our dogs are friendly, please be respectful that some dogs are not and should not be approached by others. Thanks for spreading the word!
